In an effort to keep up with the blog and now that Brecken is ONE, I am going to be updating the blog on a monthly basis.

Recap from January 2013 (and the reason there aren't very many pictures)
The rest of January was eventful to say the least... right before Brecken's 1st birthday, I went in for an emergency appendectomy. They took out the "angry" appendix. While doing the surgery they also found a ruptured cyst on my ovary. They cleaned out the fluid that was leaking from the cyst and called it good. A day later, I went home to recover... Even though I had surgery, we decided to still have Brecken's party... it was all planned, we had family traveling to town for it, and people had cleared their calendars. Thanks to Leigh, Kelly, and Jeb the house got cleaned and decorated just in time for the big party!

The day after the party and on Brecken's actual 1st birthday, I unfortunately ended up in the ER again due to severe abdominal pain. I was admitted to the hospital for the 2nd time and the next two days were pretty awful... I was violently ill and in severe pain. The surgeon went in for an exploratory surgery and found that the original cyst hadn't done all its damage yet...this time it had fully ruptured and was creating havoc to my insides... oh what fun! The cyst was removed and everything else was checked thoroughly. Fortunately the problem was solved and I am healthy, but unfortunately this was a very INVASIVE surgery, so had weeks of recovery ahead of me.

Thanks to my wonderful husband, family, and dear friends we got through it all and I am now much better and back to work!

 2.14.2013- Our little Valentine is 13 months and took her FIRST THREE STEPS on Valentine's Day!

 2.14.2013- Fala hates it when I put headbands on her, but look how cute she is!!! 

 In February, we had FOUR SNOW DAYS! Brecken didn't stay in the snow long, but she LOVED it and it made her smile! SO CUTE! 

 2.23.2013- Brock and Brecken... Brecken kept trying to hug him and touch him and Brock wasn't having it... don't you just love the cute face he kept making? He was trying to tell Brecken to BACK OFF! HA! 

2.23.2013- I went out with my niece and nephews to help them make a snowman! I might have overdone it because I was in pain the next day, but it was WORTH it because we had a blast!
